Case Study

Arqiva

Background

Arqiva came to Rethink for talent support as they were undergoing a restructuring project in their business, which would create redundancies as well as new role opportunities. The project was highly time-sensitive and created significant and immediate hiring needs for business continuity and transformation objectives.

This project also gave Arqiva the opportunity to review their employee diversity and inclusion targets, ensuring they had a talent strategy that was aligned to meeting these.

Challenge

The core challenge for Arqiva was embarking on a workforce restructure in the toughest candidate market in history. Due to Arqiva going through a period of real change, this impacted the time their managers had to spend on hiring externally, and understandably, in some cases, had reduced motivation to drive the project forward.

Despite having access to market-leading technologies and services that Arqiva offer, Rethink found that the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) for these areas was not well developed. In terms of a social brand presence, followers on LinkedIn were sitting at 6% which meant the reach and impressions of role advertisements were low.

Solution

Starting the project with one Account Director, 2 Recruitment Business Partners and one Sourcer, our partnership with Arqiva began as a 4-month project to deliver 116 roles. Almost one year later, RTM have delivered 234 roles to date.

Using existing Arqiva technology, RTM managed the end-to-end recruitment process, from advert through to offer creation. Our expert teams worked fast to recruit for all high-demand positions, including Solutions Architects, Business Development Manager, Head of Departments, Cyber Security and Supply chain roles.

Rethink took the LinkedIn engagement from 6% to 45% in just 2 months.

Our team are currently running at 85% direct delivery, placing high-quality, diverse talent, directly into roles for Arqiva.
